Thee Charles Hines
Closing Remarks
I announced this series years ago to process some hard times. But the feelings just were not coming together.
I always credit Alessia for releasing music that is not just enjoyable but important. The "In The Meantime" album found me in a dark place and made me feel understood. Alessia reminded me that there is a through the pain. When I began writing the series, I was frantically trying to keep myself on earth. This series was my way out of a lot of harmful thinking. Lots of these poems come from feeling like I had no one I could talk to.
I do not apologize for any of my art. I do apologize for any conversations with loved ones I have not been able to have in real life. This project is very much still a hot stove.
I hope that this series offers hope, connection, understanding, and space for anyone who reads. I also hope it puts you on to some really good music.
Thank you for listening. I love you.
